Group Classes

Registration is -- Complicated!

I thought everyone was getting puppies for the holidays, but this year, everyone’s getting them now! So we’re doing drop-in classes until the next full round of classes start in January. Must RSVP for each class. Puppy classes are for both current and new clients, while advanced classes are for current clients (I will schedule skills assessments for new clients if requested). Six spots per class. All classes will take place at Telltail At The Vale (10925 Germania Road, Mabelvale).

Class Descriptions

Puppy PreSchool

is mostly play and starting basics. This is for puppies four months and younger.

AKC STAR PUPPY – Puppy Kindergarten

includes some playtime and all of the basics (foundations, sit, down, touch, leave it, drop, leash manners, and recall). This is for dogs ages four to six months (younger may be accepted depending on situation).

Booping Noses (Level 1)

also covers the basics, but there is no playtime. This is for dogs five to six months and older.

Level 2

advances everything your dog has already learned, plus additional cues and tricks.

Level 2-3

The Smarty Pants classes are all advanced classes.

Leash Manners is built around a reliable “come” cue, and learning to communicate with your dog on leash. (Must have training basics. If you’ve taken a class with another trainer for the basics, must be able to demonstrate skills prior to enrollment.)

Big Dam Dogs is an intermediate between Leash Manners and Rock City Dogs. We work more on skills in a neutral setting.

Rock City Dogs is all about taking skills on the road and visiting dog-friendly establishments to put those cues to the test. This class is not for reactive dogs.

Big Barks is a reactive dog practice class. This is for dogs who have already completed reactivity work via private lessons or have built skills in class and need additional practice out and about.

AKC Canine Good Citizen

develops all of your dog’s skills and brings them into practical, everyday situations. This is available upon request.
