Carbo is an 11-month-old German shepherd mix. He is neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. He was rescued as an eight-week-old puppy when he was found under his owners’ car; hence, he is named after the carburetor. He loves people, stuffed toys, and, especially, challenging toys. He is very smart and learns new commands quickly. He needs an owner who has the energy to match his and a willingness to train him. He is an outdoor /indoor dog who loves to be close to his owners. He sleeps inside. He eats salmon-based dog food and loves treats. He is not kennel-trained. He has not been around very small children or cats. He currently weighs 60 lbs. He plays well with other dogs when boarded but the owners have a smaller older female dog and they are not compatible. The owners are having health issues and are having to move to a house with a small yard. Carbo is a handsome, loving pup who needs a chance to be a great dog in the right environment.

Trainer notes: Carbo is highly intelligent and picks up on training easily. He is an advanced learner who would love outdoor adventures and the ability for life-long training. He is also very sensitive and would do best with positive reinforcement. He would do best with other dogs about his size, and would need time during the day for enrichment and naps. He can struggle with settling, which is common for his age, so he would need someone who is willing to put in the work with an adolescent. Telltail Dog Training will provide virtual support and an in-person 45-minute lesson if within the appropriate service area or a virtual session if not.
